What a great state, West Virginia! Ever need to just get away from it all, this is the place to do it. I had no cell phone signal which I learned I can do with out, no high speed internet, which wasn't worth waiting on the downloads and loads of nature and good ole fun! Spencer, Mom and I headed to the mountains on June 3, the day after I finished school. I couldn't wait to get back home! I miss it so much, the serenity of it all helps me to realize I need to relax and enjoy nature and the true meaning of life instead of the rat race I'm in everyday here! Wednesday we rested from our trip but then we started.....campfires, roasting weiners, marshmellow, water play, down on the farm at the camper just sitting talking, no rush to go anywhere, stay as long as you want or as short a while as you want, no pressure, no hurry to do this or that, just soaking nature in! The most stressed I was all week was a trip to the Wal Mart......can't handle Wal Mart most of the time! Other than that it was amazing! My brother took me to the river to get some rock for my borders on my beds around my house and it was so good to put my feet in the FREEZING cold waters. The ole swimming hole we went to as kids, the site of many a river baptizims I had been to when I lived there and just reminising! Went back home along a old railroad grade that has now been turned into camps along the river. It is absolutely amazing. I could keep on and on but by now I think you'll understand why I love it so. Here is a slideshow of some of the adventures we had! Great Time and looking forward to going back the week of the 4th of July for camping on the South Fork of Cherry, fishing, campfires, swimming, hiking, riding ATVs and all the fun of the mountains!
Before long, June 22, Spencer will celebrate his 7th birthday. I can't BELIEVE it! Seems just like yesterday we were in NICU, scared to death that something was going to happen to him and look at him now. A heathly little guy who is amazing! He is as stubborn as his Daddy and Mommie and as strong willed as his Papaw Saul! He is a great kid and I thank God every day that he gave me the opportunity to raise him. He has taught me so much. Patience, understanding, how to slow down, enjoy life and being a all around person that no matter what we can try! I love you little man with all my heart and soul. Thank you for coming to mine and Daddy's life, you are a special little guy!

I wish I were there with you. It sounds great and reminds me of summers spent at my Aunt Jennie's house in Tennessee.
